今日は、モスクワでニュ－スになった記事をお伝えします。
皆さんはチェブラ－シカをご存知ですか？
Famous Soviet stop-motion animated film about Cheburashka’s and his friends adventures created more than 40 years ago has got the second life by efforts of Russian, Japanese and South Korean animators. They created a new version of “Gena the Crocodile” and issued two brand new animated stories “Cheburashka and the Circus” and “Shapoklyak advices”.
40年以上前に作られた旧ソ連時代の有名なアニメ”チェブラーシカと愉快な仲間の大冒険”が、ロシア・日本・韓国のアニメ－タｰの手によって蘇りました。
新作は"チェブラ－シカとサ－カス"、”Shapoklyak Adivice"という2作品です。
The new films were successfully brought to public for the first time on 19-th of May at Russian Embassy in Tokyo.
The film Director Makoto Nakamura said that the opinion of Russian audience was important to him and he is satisfied with reaction of Russian children who laughed heartily at the show. “This was the best award for our job” – said Mr Nakamura.
The animators have been working on this project for about 5 years. “Production of a stop-motion animated film is a very complicated process, but we are quite happy with the results” – he added.
新作は5月19日に東京のロシア大使館で初めて上映されました。
Film Directorの中村誠さんは、『ロシア人のお客様の反応が非常に重要。そういった意味では、心から笑うロシアの子供達の反応は非常に満足している。この作品は私達のベスト作品です。アニメ－タ－はこの仕事に5年の歳月を費やしました。ストップモ－ションアニメを作るには、非常に複雑なプロセスがあり、今回の結果は非常にうれしい。』とお話されていました。
Cheburashka also known as Topple in earlier English translations, is a character in children's literature, from a 1966 story by the Russian writer Eduard Uspensky . He is also the protagonist of the film series by Soyuzmultfilm studio, the first episode of which was made in 1969.
チェブラ－シカは、1966年にロシア人作家エドワ－ド・ウスペンスキ－によって書かれた児童文学の主人公で、1969年にSoyuzmultfilm スタジオで作られた映画シリ－ズの初期のエピソ－ドの主人公でもあります。

According to the story, Cheburashka is a funny little creature, unknown to science, who lives in the tropical forest. He accidentally gets into a crate of oranges, (possibly American or Australian as the crates are labeled in English) eats his fill, and falls asleep. Then he gets into Russia and is put into the Zoo where he meets lonely Gena the Crocodile and they become friends.
チェブラ－シカは、熱帯林に住む小さくてかわいい生き物でしたが、誤ってオレンジの箱（ラベルにはアメリカorオ－ストラリア産と英語で書いてある）に落ちてしまい、中で食べながら寝てしまってモスクワまで運ばれたようです。
そして、ちょうど友達がいなくて寂しい思いをしていたワニの"ゲ-ナ"と友達になりました。
”Gena the Crocodile and Cheburashka” have become known in Japan in 2001. Since then these characters are very popular. The toys, mugs, pens and T-shirts bearing their images are sold in almost every store.
”チェブラ－シカとワニのゲ－ナ”は2001年に日本で知られるようになりました。
それからは、とても人気で、おもちゃやマグカップ、ペン、T-シャツなど、さまざまなグッズのイメ－ジキャラクターに選ばれ、お店で売られています。
チェブラ－シカ！
