It's spring again in Boston, so you know what that means?
Anime Boston is here!
Every year, this Japanese animation themed convention attracts thousands of people from around the world to Boston.
Presented by the New England Anime Society, this 3-day convention is the largest of its kind in the North East region.
Fans gather to share their passion for anime, video games, comics, and various other aspects of Japanese culture.
With everyone sharing a common interest, it is a place where everyone can share there passions in a friendly and fun environment.
Attendees range from the casual fan to the dedicated cosplayer.
Cosplay, otherwise known as costume play, is when someone will dress in costume as a character from some form of media.
Many cosplayers spend countless hours perfecting their craft, and their hand made costumes reflect their dedication to the art.
Some of these dedicated souls were kind enough to let us take their photo to share with you. You will find these photos at the end of this post.
This year the event features the theme of Kaiju v.s. Mecha.
With the star of godzilla, Akira Takarada, and the original man behind the mask, Haruo Nakajima, as guests, this is sure to be an event not to be missed.

春のボストンに戻りました！
その意味はアニメボストンのアニメコンベンションが始まりました。
毎年世界中から何千人という人がこのアニメコンベンションのためにボストンへ来ます。
アニメボストンはアメリカのニューイングランドの一番大きいアニメコンベンションです。
三日間の金土日曜日にボストンのハインズコンベンションセンタでしています。
アニメやテレビゲームや日本の色んな文化に興味のある人は楽しいイベントです。
参加者たちはカジュアルなファンから専用のコスプレをしているファンまでいます。
好きなキャラクターの服を着ることをコスプレといいます。
コスプレする人は何時間もかけて服を完璧にするみたいです。
コスプレをしていた親切な方々は写真を取らせてくださったのでこちらに載せます。
年のテーマは怪獣v.s.メカです。ゴジラのスター俳優宝田明様、ゴジラのコスチュームの中の俳優中島春雄様はイベントのゲストです。
