Hi there,
Just to start... I am Estonian living in The Netherlands for 8 years now and working for Japanese company for last 7,5 months. I am sorry that I can't speak Japanese yet, but I am sure I will learn it soon.
The people in the Netherlands are tallest in Europe and second tallest worldwide. As I am shorter than average also in my home country you can imagine how short I feel myself here. It's a bit like Alice in Wonderland. Everything is too high for me. Food and drinks in supermarket? For Dutch people - no problem, for me - the nicest pieces are always too high. In crowded places people just don't see me and almost step on me.
So in case you want to feel yourself tall in the Netherlands you can visit Madurodam. That's the small copy of Holland, really worth to see. Children can stay there for all day and they will not even get hungry.
I wish you all nice experience in the Netherlands
