Bryant Park
I was walking through Bryant Park when I thought I saw in the distance, a sheep-pen in the middle of the park. And in fact it was a sheep-pen along with beds, sofas, pillows, and carpets placed all around the fountain.
Why are there sheep in Bryant Park?? Why is the fountain stuffed with colored wool?? I looked around for a reason why this was happening and I found a sign for "The Campaign for Wool ". I was more surprised that someone would create a campaign for wool than there being sheep hanging out in Bryant Park. "Why does wool need a campaign?" I thought to myself. I checked out the site and found out that the campaign was started by no other than His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales. The campaign is in response to the jeopardy the wool industry is experiencing due to low cost man-made synthetic material.
If you come to New York make sure to stop by and have lunch in Bryant Park! There are plenty of places to sit and you never know what events might be going on during your visit!
