New York Spring 2014 Fashion Week
Everyone has heard of, been too, or know someone who has been to New York City. I for one have been working in NYC since 2002. There are millions of ways to enjoy NYC and twice a year the city focuses on the world of Fashion.
This year unlike others have many notable presentations.
Marc Jacobs is an unexpected, designer that is one of the reasons why he is hugely successful. Women from age 60 to 25 are fans his highly marketable designs.
This year Marc has combined gothic Victorian, complete with clever military jackets, dazzling frocks with peek-a-boo lace details.

Another of my favorite fashion icons, the Bronx native Ralph Lauren, has managed to surprise me again. What is old is new again. Listen to a nice piece of Nina Simone and sip a glass of merlot and you’ll be transported to classic French 50’s designs. The show was full of clean lines and classic pieces that are a must in any closet.

Another name that cannot escape my radar is Marchesa for eveningwear. This show stood out because of its refine gorgeous fantasy like gowns. Definitely Oscar worthy!
