Have you ever been to the library? Yeah, me too.

But what about the Library...Bar?!

This gem of a bar is located right in the heart of downtown, just a few blocks from the U.S. Bank Building.

Quite a selection!

And an outdoor seating area with a nice view of a relatively quiet part of downtown.

Dim lighting and dark corners provide for a relaxing mood.

The bar itself takes up quite a portion of the small interior.

Mood-setting candles and a famous bust?

They don't call it Library Bar for nothing...check out those books!

I would like to have a library myself someday...

Comfortable couches in the corners of the bar - although it may be difficult to find seats in the early evening.

Although it may be tough to catch the bartender's attention with the horde of customers signaling the end to the work day/week, the crowds tend to thin out and then return later on again. So don't give up if they skip over you a couple of times!

This place is definitely one my favorite locations in LA - not super loud but definitely populated. Will definitely be visiting again in the near future! And you should too!
