I recently visited Âu Lạc in LA for some fresh, plant-based veitnamese/french food.

Vegan for the win!

This gem is located just a couple blocks from the financial district in downtown Los Angeles.  

In addition to providing a nice dining experience, Au Lac also puts on live events on weekends and vegan gatherings on some specific dates.

Now...to the interior and food!

Fancy bar area

Fairly empty but relaxing environment.

Water with mint = excellence.

French fries made from yuca root?  Not bad.  More filling, too.

The main course: yellow noodle soup.  Amazing flavor for a vegan soup.

If you are looking for light vegan meal in Los Angeles, I highly recommend this place.  There are so many unique menu options that I will definitely be back again to try more.  Just look at the yuca root french fries!!
