Japanese music has become very popular in the USA.  So many Japanese artists are coming to the USA.  It is a good chance to see a wide range of artists in sometimes smaller clubs or venues than you can see them in Japan.

Earlier this month I went to a Miyavi concert at the El Rey Theater here in Los Angeles.  The El Rey Theater holds about 700 people so I had a really up close experience.

The crowd was very diverse with young and old, plenty of Japanese from Japan as well as many local Americans.  There were even families with kids there – maybe because  Miyavi lives in LA with his American born Japanese American wife and their two young daughters who were also at the theater. 

It was REALLY FUN!  Miyavi was SO GOOD!
