You want to know what one of my favorite days is? Taco Tuesday. Today's featured spot in the Los Angeles area is a taco spot! While I didn't go on a Tuesday, I can truly eat tacos every day. And lucky that in Southern California, Mexican food and tacos are very easy to come by.

今日の特集スポットはなんとタコスのレストランです！ロスアンゼルスにはいっぱいメキシカンのレストランがあります。こちらはトップ・シェルフ・タコスというお店です。

This time I went for the first time to a place called Top Shelf Tacos. Top Shelf Tacos is located in the South Bay area in a city called Carson. It had pretty good ratings already, so I decided to check it out. 

この店の場所はダウンタウンロサンゼルスから南45分ほどの街カーソンにあります。レストランの中はとてもオレンジな店です。

Upon entry, the first thing that hit me was orange. The interior of the establishment has orange walls with some cool looking designs on it. The menu had quite a bit of a selection, but I settled on the things that looked appealing to me. Carne asada tacos, which are my favorite, were ordered. However, they had some items not always found in taco shops including french fries and jalapeño poppers. As those are also some of my favorite things, those were ordered as well.

私はメキシカンスタイルのタコスが大好きなのでもちろんステーキタコスを頼みました。メキシカンスタイルタコスは本格的で人によってびっくりする方もいます。なぜならトルティーアとお肉だけなのです。たまに玉ねぎは入っていますが、レタスとかご飯は入っていません。

頼んだタコスはお肉だけでした。でも、ソースとかサルサは入れらます。ちょっと油ぽかったのですが美味しかったです。

As many taco spots do, there was a salsa bar where you could pack your own salsa, condiments, and garnishes to take with you. They had the classic verde(green) salsa, some orange salsa, onions, cilantro, radish, and pickled carrots with jalapeño. I recommend getting all of these things and eating them with tacos or burritos. The radishes are also a nice palate cleanser.

サルサとかトッピングは自由に取れます。

The food was great, although just a tad bit greasy. But that's what you have to expect sometimes. I really enjoyed the jalapeño poppers with cream cheese, in fact they were my favorite. I feel as though this taco place had a good balance of types of food to suit even taste buds that have never tried Mexican food before, but still keeping it authentic.
