La Jolla, CA is located twelve miles north of San Diego it is well known for its beautiful beaches covering seven miles of coastline along the Pacific Ocean in So Cal. 
One of most popular beaches in La Jolla is named 'The Children's Pool'.
This is a popular beach for scuba divers because of the reefs just offshore.
If you are new to swimming, there is a shallow area that is great for beginners.

During much of the year, you’ll be able to see many seals and sea lions on or near the beach and a reserve for these marine mammals, called Seal Rock, is just offshore.
They are wild animals you can watch, but please do not feed or disturb they are protected by Federal law.
