Santa Anita Park is a Thoroughbred racetrack in Arcadia, California about 30 minutes from downtown Los Angeles. It offers some of the most prominent racing events in the United States during the winter and in spring. With its backdrop of the San Gabriel Mountains it is considered by many to be the world's most beautiful race track.
The track is open from January through April every Friday, Saturday and Sunday and the first post is 12:30pm. Depending on the day, there are about 9 races with each race starting on the hour and half hour.
