A_2This week I decided to go to a popular ramen spot in Pasadena called "Tatsunoya".

BWe got there at about 9:00pm on Sunday and there was a line of about 10 poeple ahead of us. But luckily we were seated in about 10 minutes, so we did not have to wait long.

DThe interior design was a bit interesting. They had a big tree trunk sticking out right in the middle of the center table.

CAnd of course a counter table right in front of the ramen chefs.

EWhile waiting for our ramaen, we ordered a couple of appetizers. One of those was the Edamame.  It seemed to be quickly sauteed so it was a bit oily, but I loved the flavor!

FThe other appetizer we ordered was the Crispy Chashu Wrap. This was a spicy chashu with lettuse and cheese, wrapped with seaweed.  Kind of like a japanese taco, if you will.

And the ramen! You can choose 3 types of broth. "Rich", "Light", and "Spicy". Of course I would have to go with the "Rich" broth ramen with extra chashu.

HThe rich pork broth was spectacular! It was exactly what I wanted from a pork broth ramen.  The noodles were exactly what I expected a pork broth ramen to combined with. "Thin" style ramen noodle of course!  Perfect!

IThe chashu. Wow! it wasn't a thinly sliced piece that you might get at other spots. The chashu was thicker than any spot I've been to. And even better, the flavor was awesome as well!

JI would definitely recommend Tatsunoya Ramen shop to anybody and everybody. 
If you're ever in the area and craving ramen, this is the place!
