Hello Everyone!

I'm a huge lover of seafood, and one of my favorite things to eat is cajun style shrimp. I'm always on the lookout for places that serve shrimp in a bag with various sauces that you can peel and eat.

また食べ物についてのブログですが、ロスアンジェレスは一杯おいしいところがあるので語許し下さい。トーランスにあるシュリンプ・バイ・ユーていうシーフードレストランに行きました。エビ好きな方にはオススメです。

Recently I tried a place called Shrimp By You in Torrance on Pacific Coast Highway. The restaurant is in a hard to spot place in front of Goodwill and next to a sporting goods store, so be forewarned! Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted to a cozy feeling place, a little bit modern and also a little bit cozy.

少し場所が分かりにくいのでご注意お願い致します。レストラン入るとかわいいらしい雰囲気で居心地の良いところだと思いました。

There were a surprising amount of foods to choose from on the menu. Not only did they have many choices of seafood for the classic seafood boil, but they also had additional menu items like fish tacos, fish 'n' chips, and even garlic pasta! Of course I ordered the shrimp boil, and I added potatotes and clams. 

メニューには色んなものから選べました。フィシュタコズとかにんにくのパスタがありました。でも私はケイジャンスタイルのエビを選びました。シーフードを選んだあとにサイドとかソースのからさを選びます。頼んだ材料がぜんぶまざっているプラスティクなふくろが出てきます。エビのからとかはむいてから召し上がれます。

For the sauce I added all three sauces they had, the lemon garlic butter, the cajun, and the black pepper sauce, and made the spice level mild. It didn't have that classic cajun flavor, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

辛さも選べるので好きなように召し上がってください。レモンとしおを頼んでエビをつけながら食べるのがオススメです～

*Just a pro tip: Ask for lime or lemon and some salt. Most shrimp boils places usually provide this automatically, but this place did not. The acid and salt cut through the flavors perfectly, and is a great dipping sauce for your shrimp!

I really wanted some crab too, but I was worried about the price. Sometimes seafood can get expensive! However, this place was reasonably priced for all that we ordered. In addition to the shrimp and clams, we also ordered clam chowder and fish 'n' chips. The clam chowder wasn't a classic recipe and tasted a bit different that the usual. The fish 'n' chips was ok, the batter was on the sweeter side, which isn't my favorite. 

クラムチャウダーとフィシュアンドチップスも頼みました。私はエビだけオススメしますが、ぜひほかのメニューのもの試してください。

For those that like to have drinks with their food, they had a pretty extensive drink selection for a small restaurant. They also had an oyster bar, so if you're a fan of oysters, this may be exciting for you. 

Overall my experience was pleasant. I enjoyed the shrimp boil very much, but I often do everywhere! The service was friendly and the prices were fair, and it's relatively a more lower key spot which I enjoyed. If you're a fan of seafood, this may be a neat place to check out!
