WARM - Western America Railroad Museum -
is located in Barstow, CA.
This museum opens to public on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday,
from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
This museum is on the site of the historic Harvey House
(Casa Del Desierto). Admission is FREE
The Museum shows the history of Western railroading through
objects, art, exhibits, and many historical artifacts.
Artifacts
Many of those items have come from personal collections.
There are the smallest rail ways, dinner services, silverware, menus,
Model Railroading
Known as an important hobby in the United States.
A fine example is the Dogtooth Mountain H.O. Railway
by a hobbyist.
Started building in 1988 and finished in 2002,
in hobbyist's living room.
Date Nails: used on ties to determine the date of installation.
The Museum has one of the largest collections of
Date Nails in the United States.
