Osteria Chiana is a very nice restaurant located in Trieste area in Rome. This restaurant offers a very good variety of the typical Roman specialties.
The restaurant has a warm and friendly artmosphere. There are lots of vintage pictures and a home, simple and quiet environment.
In summer there's the possibilty to eat outside.
The waiters are young people, very friendly, polite and helpful.
For starters you can try fried or marinated anchovies, ham and buffalo, fried artichokes, tuna carpaccio, baked potato(dinner only).
I liked potato skins and fried artichokes very much!
About first courses I suggest rigatoni gricia, tonnarelli cheese and pepper, pasta artichokes and fish eggs.
for main courses you can try rolls of veal with vegetables, roast beef, balls of minced fresh tomato and arugola or steak.
Good side dishes are chicory, baked potato(dinner only),spinach, salad and tomato slice.
There's a choice of red and white wines and beer as well.
All the ingredients are very good and fresh and the prices are not so high.
