GamGam Restaurant: old tradition in Venice

Walking in Venice island it is easy to find nice restaurants

in the main streets of the town, but often these restaurants are too much touristic and expensive but the quality is not so good.

Last month I have been to Venice and I was looking for place to have a good dinner. Walking in the old Ghetto area, 10 minutes from
the train station, I found a nice restaurant on the Cannaregio Canal: Gam Gam Kosher Restaurant.

This nice restaurant is located in the Ghetto area, the place where the Jewish people used to live in the past centuries, and proposes to its clients the typical venetian Jewish cuisine, mixed to the Israeli ones:

Falafel, Cous Cous, Shnitzel (chicken meat), Vegetables with Tahina Sauce (sesame sauce), Shwarma meat
just to taste the Israeli and Middle-east flavor (^∇^), but also Sardines made in Venetian style,
Tagliatelle with Salmon, Eggplant cooked in ghetto style, just to feel the venetian taste .

If you are vegetarian, this could be the right place to have a very nice lunch or dinner, because is a wide choice about vegetable dishes. (＝⌒▽⌒＝)
Please note that this restaurant uses mainly organic and locally grown foods!

I suggest you to try the Antipasti Bar, a mix of vegetables, sauces and falafel…savoury food!

Then Artichoke Bottoms, typical Venetian jewish course, made with boiled artichoke in tomato vinaigrette broth..very delicate taste! (*⌒∇⌒*)

Before finish the meal, try to drink the good herbal and flavoured teas whith fresh mint, cinnamon and ginger…delicious drink!

Come to Venice and enjoy the typical food of this beautiful town!! (＝⌒▽⌒＝)
