Dear bloggers,

today I would like to tell you about an event called "Rome International Air Show", that was held the last weekend of June, from 27 to 29, on the seafront in Ostia beach, Rome.

More than 600 thousand people, some say even a million, have been with the head upward, to admire the spectacle in the clear sky of Ostia. Family with their children, young and older people, everybody looking at the sky and handling a camera or a smartphone shooting photos and video of spectacular aircraft developments as they were professionals.

I personally enjoyed the show directly in swimsuit by the beach of Ostia but most of the visitors went to a brand new space Expo, a real village located on the seafront where you had the chance to know and speak directly with the aerobatic teams.

As  for 2009 and 2012, the "Rome International Air Show" was one of the largest and most important air shows in Europe, certainly the largest in Italy.

The show started the Patrouille de France, followed by  all 67 aircrafts including: Red Arrows British, the Patrulla Aguila, ASPA from Spain, the prestigious Patrouille Suisse Team from Switzerland, Team 60 from Sweden, the Snowbirds from Canada and the Al Fursan team from the United Arab Emirates.

Together with the aerobatic teams  there were also the most important "display only" powerful F16, arrived from Holland, Belgium, Denmark, Poland.

With regard to the Italian presence, the popular  Tricolor arrows “Frecce Tricolori”,that you can recognize from the typical green, white and read trail released by the aircrafts as you can see from my pictures!

I hope you enjoying reading!

See you soon, Luca san
