Christmas in St. Peter's place
Eyes upon one of the most important places in the world turned into a big open-pit nativity scene for the occasion, as usual.
Thousands of people from all the world will be present at this real evocative show that leaves open-mouthed.
Christmas songs and holiday spirit in St. Peter's place in Rome where the lights of the white christmas tree are turned on.
Each year, the tree raised in the middle of the place is offered by a different community of the catholic world.
This year is a small town in Calabria that has the honour to see one of his trees at the centre of the attention of tourists from all the world.
The impressive nativity scene just at the bottom of the big tree is made of 25 full-size clay statues with particular dresses and accesorizes to make them as realistic as possible.
Another innovation this year is that the nativity scene's lights and that of the tree are turned on at the same time. Only one ceremony with the two offering delegations that will be also received by Francesco, the Holy Father.
I hope you'll enjoy it!
See you soon!
