Dear Bloggers,
today I would like to talk about food, one of the pleasures of life!
Last Weekend I was in Venice, one of the most romantic cities in the world. This time I also discovered the Venetian cuisine.
The traditional Venetian cuisine is very rich in flavors and ingredients. Water, earth and sky combine in fact to provide the raw materials for a wide variety of specialties. From the sea and the rivers come fish and shellfish, vegetables from the ground, the corn (for polenta) and beef farm. All seasoned with spices and traditions imported over a millennium by merchants returned from their travels around the world.
This premise to suggest you a small family-run trattoria not far from downtown.
Da "Bepi" is the name of this traditional restaurant that will delight you with exactly the specialties of the beautiful lagoon city.
Loris, the owner, Venetian DOC will advise you to make dinner an event that you will remember over time.
In addition to the menu Loris will offer fresh dishes of the day, such as this starter:
Fried octopus on a bed of polenta with squid ink.
Then move on to main courses:
Tagliolini with crab sauce;
Gnocchi with chopped cuttlefish with scampi.
A real pleasure for the palate, and then two steps to digest and see this lovely city!
I hope you will love it and bye bye to the next one!
