If one day, in your life, you are going to visit Cinecittà in Rome I recommend you a very nice place in the proximity of it to have an aperitif, lunch or dinner.

I’m talking about “Ristorante Pescheria dei Consoli”: I went to this fish shop intrigued by the chance to have an aperitif eating some fish food.

I've been a few times and I must say that both times I felt very satisfied. The dishes are good and presented very well, considering the fact that you are not only in a restaurant, but basically in a fish shop.

It is a nice place to eat fish in a friendly atmosphere, where there are high quality products and you spend the right.

The restaurant is small, but cozy, you do not have the feeling of being compressed.
The service is quite fast, the kindness of the staff, always attentive to the customer and with a smile in their face, makes the experience unique!
The environment, with fresh fish well exposed behind the bar, all decorated in nautical style, the rustic tables and the fact that the restaurant is often fully booked, ensures the freshness of the fish, and hides a place of fine dining.

The staff always provides a significant amount of fresh fish caught from Gaeta Gulf to cook not only according to the daily menu, but also on demand.
This restaurant offers the possibility to eat not only locally, but also to take the food away.

I have been there twice for an aperitif. We took two dishes to choose between raw fish, oysters, fried fish and marinated fish in combination with a glass of white wine or prosecco.

We, two of us, opted for a mixed fried fish (very good and very right for a person, but also for two if you just want to tease, at the modest sum of 10 €) and a plate of various marinated fish.

The waiters were very polite and reserved. The food was great, the fish is always fresh and tasty, cooked with simplicity and craftsmanship, and the combinations of raw dried/or fresh fruit are very interesting.
The restaurant is small (they have some tables inside and a few ones outdoors) and always full: there is often quite a bustle of people so you have to book for guaranteeing a table
