Dear Bloggers,
Probably you have already heard about this place “Dolce. Pizzeria, restaurant and pastry shop”. Even though I’m Italian and I live in Rome I have never been there until now.
I went last Saturday for a snack after dinner with my boyfriend.
The desserts were great! We got two coffees and two cakes.
The staff is always available, polite and efficient. They always follow the customer and are very helpful.
Reservations are necessary, even on weekdays. Prices are not very low, they are a bit higher that the average, but commensurate with the standards of the neighborhood it worth it.
The place is beautiful, very cozy, decorated with taste, with the open view kitchen on the lower level, and the romantic and French atmosphere of the top floor. It has a lot of tables indoors and others in the tiled garden. It is perfect for a dinner for two.
In any case all the desserts are excellent, varied and original, they are truly exceptional.
I had a chocolate mousse with a heart of hot vanilla and some crumble chocolate with salt flakes and raspberries above and he had a “millefoglie” pastry with fruit.
They both were very good and tasty!
It should be a funny experience if you order the “tiramisu”: they bring you a tray with three large ladyfingers, a coffee maker with coffee, a jug with mascarpone cream and cocoa powder, and you can prepare it by yourself.
In conclusion, I would recommend the place for a dinner or after dinner or for a tea in the afternoon, of course with the recommendation not to give up a slice of cake!
I will certainly return to try their famous brunch!
