 Today I will describe how to cook one of my first favorite food: spaghetti with clams.

 If you are traveling here in Italy, you should definitely try them, because they are really delicious, but from now on you can also cook them in your homes with my recipe!

 Honestly, this is the first time I write a recipe so I hope everything is clear and hope you like it!
Ingredients for 4 people:
-500 Gr clams
-500 Gr spaghetti
-Parsley
-Olive oil, garlic, chili
-White wine

 Ok, let’s start with cooking!

Open the bag of clams in a large bowl or in the kitchen sink, dunk them completely in water and add three handfuls of salt.

Let them soak for 1hr/1hr30 in order to let the clams remove  any grains of sand.

After waiting, put the clams in a colander and wash out to remove any remaining sand.

At the same time take a large pot and bring the water to boil, adding salt before boiling.

Wash the parsley and chop it in a dish, you’ll use it later.

 Prepare a large pan with oil to cover the entire surface of the pan, peel the garlic and add a bit of chilli, according to the tastes.

Turn on the flame at medium level until the garlic becomes golden.

 At this point add the clams to the pan.

Cover the pan with a lid, or as in my case, with a smaller pan.

The clams begin to open and you'll hear the noise coming from the pan.
Usually the clams are all open in 4/5 minutes anyway you can lift the lid and check from time to time.

During the clams cooking, add some white wine to have the them more tasty.

When all the clams are open turn off the flame.

 At this point you can put the spaghetti in boiling water and cook until done.

From time to time, remember to turn the spaghetti so that they do not stick to the pot and taste them to see if you need to add more salt.

Remember that the clams are usually quite salty, so even if spaghetti is not that salted, the result will be okay.

Very Very Important-Just before you finish cooking the pasta, take 2 fingers of cooking water with a glass and keep it aside.

When the pasta is cooked, drain and pour quickly into the pan with the clams.


 Pour the cooking water you put aside before into the pan and mix everything  quickly.



You will see that it will form a kind of cream that will melt spaghetti, clams and sauce.

Add parsley, according to your taste and enjoy your meal.
