Dear all!
Today I'd like to talk about St. Peter & Paolo day in Rome.
As lot of you knows, St Peter's is really important in Rome, because he was
the first Pope and he gave the name to the famous St Peter's Basilic.
So, every 29th of June, in Rome is celebrated the St PETER'S DAY.
The celebration starts in the night of the 28th of June, where the statue of St Peter is dressed by pontiff.
That night you can see some regious songs by the chorus of the Sistine Chapel.
On the 29th of June, there is the religious celebration in the St. Peter's Basilic.
This year, for the first time, will be also an "infiorata" (a show with flowers) along Via della Conciliazione (about 3000mq)
The infiorata will be saturday 28th of June: from 9:00 am to 12:00 am petals will be take off each flower, while in the afternoon from 3 pm up to midnight you will assist at the composing of the picture by flowers on the floor.
On the 29th of June in the morning at 10:00 there is a parade with typical clothes, while in the evening the one of the best show with fairworks!
Every year , in the evening (about 6 pm) stars near Castel Sant'Angelo a show with fireworks for about 1 hour.
The most suggestife thing is for sure how beautiful appears fairwork behind the Castle and with the reflection of the river under the castle.
But take note that this show, as is beautiful and free, is full of people, so if you want a good view near the river and in front of the Castle, is better to go there e little bit early.
