The Museum celebrated the person fascinated D’Annunzio and became him lover: THE MARCHESA CASATI. She became the subjects of some works of Gabriele D’Annunzio writer, but also other artist of the period. She became Marchesa Casati in 1900 when she married Camillo Casati Stampa but soon, In 1903, she became the lover of Gabriele D’Annunzio abandoning the quiet life of an aristocratic marriage. She transformed her face into a striking mask of La Belle Dame Sans Merci.

Luisa Amman was born in 1881 and she was the fabulously rich Milanese heiress of a cotton manufacturer. She, after her life rich of overindulgence, died in London, poor and with only a few friends, in 1957.

Palazzo Fortuny shows a vast collection of artworks and portraits were either dedicated to or commissioned by Casati. The exhibition display pieces from Casati private collections. There are also many compelling photographs of Luisa Casati Stampa.
