Padua is a city in Veneto, northern Italy.
The city is fascinating and picturesque, there are many arcaded streets and various large communal squares (piazze), and also a lot of bridges.
Padua is a very important city from the artistic and architectural point of view, in fact there are different places to visit.
One of the most important place is the Scrovegni Chapel. It contains a fresco cycle by Giotto. The church was dedicated to Santa Maria della Carità and consecrated in 1305.
The fresco cycle tells the life of the Virgin Mary and is one of the most important fresco cycles in the world.
It is very important to book the Scrovegni Chapel in advance in order to guarantee your visit, there are many visitors every day.You can book it on our website, please find the link as follows:

One of the most important building is the Palazzo Della Ragione, with its great hall on the upper floor, has the largest roof unsupported by columns in Europe. The walls are covered with allegorical frescoes.
The most important church is the Basilica di Sant’Antonio da Padova, locally known as "Il Santo". The bones of the saint rest in a chapel.
In the square in front of the church, there is a Donatello's magnificent equestrian statue of the Venetian general Gattamelata.
An important symbol of Padua is the Prato della Valle, an huge elliptical square. This is one of the biggest in Europe. In the centre of the square, there is a wide garden surrounded by a canal, which is lined by 78 statues of illustrious citizens.
I recommend to visit the Pedrocchi Café, an historical café very famous in Padua. At the first floor you can also visit the Museum of the Risorgimento.
Padua is relatively close to the following airports: Venice, Verona, Treviso and Bologna.
It takes more or less half an hour by train to reach Venice.
In Padua there are approximately 40 bus lines, the city is good connected. In the bus/tram you will find a television that displays the route line, the next stop, the most important monuments.
I strongly recommend you to visit Padua, a few days are enough and it’s very closed to Venice.
I really enjoyed this city, I found it charming and romantic.
