Good morning,

today I'd like to talk about  a famous and very special town near Viterbo.

This town is Civita di Bagnoregio.  It is an old village with a very few people living there.

Mostly are small restautants and local shops, which offers to tourists the possibility to enjoy this beautiful place.

To reach this town, buses or cars must be leaved far from the center.

You have to pass through an old bridge and take some steps, before arrive in the main square. There is a fee to enter in the city (around 2€p.p.)

Once arrived in the town, you can easy walk inside its narrow streets and enjoy the panoramic view from the top, or stop in a restaurant and bar and take  glass of wine or another drink.

After a relaxing walk, I have personally eat in a typical restaurant.

(if you come during week end it is better to book in advance as all of them are fullbooked).

As starters I tried some local sliced ham and salami, and cheese as well.

A glass of white wine was perfect.

As main course, i tried some ravioli with orange cream and sausage.

Delicious!

Another dish was ravioli with mashrooms. Very nice too!

Finally, at the end some mixed slices of dessert homemade: chocolate cake, apple pie, aubergine cake and fig fruit cake.

This place is very peaceful and special if you need to have a break and enjoy simple life.

If you will come in Italy, I really recoomande it!
