Located in the Waikele outlet mall, slightly across KFC and right next to party city is a Japanese restaurant called Kunio.

ワイケレ・アウトレット・モールの中、「KFC（ケンタッキーフライドチキン）」のやや向かい、「Party City（パーティシティ）」の右側に、「Kunio（クニオ）」という和食屋さんがあります。

Although, because of the convenient location and free parking, this restaurant gets crowded at lunch and dinner time, so be prepared for the sudden rush of customers at peak times. 

便利な立地と無料の駐車場ということもあり、ランチやディナー時には混み合います。突然お客さんのラッシュが始まることもありますので、ご注意を。

The average wait time is roughly 20 to 40 minutes, but remain close to the entry so you can hear your reservation being called. This family friendly restaurant serves authentic Japanese food in a very comfortable and relaxing environment. 

そんなときの平均待ち時間は20～40分。待っている間は入口の近くにいてくださいね。そうすれば、名前を呼ばれたときに聞き逃すことがありません。正統派の和食を、心地よいリラックスした雰囲気で提供してくれるお店です。

When you enter the dim room, right away you will see a sushi bar at the back of the room and about 15 booths and tables. Off in the far left corner is a private party room. This separate room holds about 10 to 15 people. Upon entry of this isolated room, customers must remove their shoes before they are seated.

落ち着いた照明の店内へ入るとまずは寿司カウンター、そして15ほどのブースとテーブルがあります。左手奥には10～15人ほど収容できるプライベートルームもあります。プライベートルームには靴を脱いで上がります。

 At the table, friendly waitresses will take your order. However, because this delicious cuisine is edamame, taegu, kimchee, toss salad or miso soup. Due to the great quality of the food, prices are a little higher than expected. However, all-in-all, the experience and taste at Kunio is worth every penny.

テーブルに着くと、フレンドリーなウェイトレスが注文を取りに来てくれます。

食事には、枝豆、taegu（ロコの大好きなタラの甘辛干し）、キムチ、グリーンサラダまたはミソスープがついてきます。クオリティの高い食事ゆえ、予想していたのより少しお値段が高かったのですが、味と雰囲気を考えれば、充分もとが取れます。
