Aloha!

Have you heard of "Forbidden Island" of Niihau?
Did you know that it's part of Hawaiian Island and it's really close by Oahu.

It's about 20 miles southwest of Kauai Island.
When I came to Hawaii back in mid 1970's, this Island was still
"Off Limits" to all person. If you wanted to visit this Island you had
to have an invitation by the owner of Island.
Yes, this Island is privately owned by one family (Robinson Family).

Now 21th century, you could visit this Island by Tour. Yes progress is
creeping up even to this Forbidden Island. If your interested, you could
even request for Hunting Tour.

Tour itself is only 1/2 day tour and you will not meet any of the local
people who lives on this Island. Owner does not permit entrance to any of
the village. (You can visit but don't bring in influnce).

For people who thinks Hawaiian Island consists of Oahu, Kauai, Maui,
Molokai, Lanai, and Big Island (Island of Hawaii), now you can add
Niihau to your list.

If you are really interested in visiting this Niihau Island, you should
check-out their WebSite niihau.net,niihau.org or niihau.info.
