As with every weekend, I went out with my friends from high school. Now, people are more surprised at the fact that we still are friends. Most people stop talking to each other once high school is over, but we are tight.
Anywho, we ended up at our usual place, Aku Bone. Aku Bone is a little bar one block ewa of Ala Moana. If you are driving, go mauka up Pensicola until you see the bar. There is a sign you can't miss.

Aku Bone is a local bar and grill. Okay, it's more bar than it is grill. But the food is good considering. Despite the full bar, people mostly drink beer. Their selection of beer is all right if you drink out of the bottle. They only have one beer on tap, Bud Light. At $7 a pitcher, it may seem expensive but it's the same price or better than most bars.
The food "menu" is good too. Usually we get the Hibatchi Grilled Steak, Pork Chops, Garlic Fries, and Grilled Rack of Lamb. The price of the lamb had gone up recently but the price for everything else is stable. This past Saturday, seeing that we ate already, we just got the steak and garlic fries.

For those who have never been to Aku Bone, it is a haven for bad singers. I don't know why, but 90% of those who sing karaoke there are terrible. But to me, drunken karaoke is the best. I guess that's more for people who like the auditions for American Idol. You do have an occasional gem singing so good you want to cancel the song you requested, but hey, everyone is there for fun and it doesn't matter if you can sing or not. That night's winner was 5 drunken guys singing Boys 2 Men. Dear lord, it was so terrible, it was classic.

Now I bet you're wondering, "How much did Chris drink that night?" Answer, I don't know. I believe it was 6 pitchers total. But there was 5 of us. Considering on a normal night we pound much more than that, consider it a light drinking night. Total damage; bill=$60, $16 each, total paid=$80.
