Pint and Jigger

ちょうどワイキキから出たら「 Pint + Jigger」のガストロパブがあります。ガストロパブは食べ物のある飲み屋です。

名前の事で、「Pint」は普通の生ビールの大きさ（リキッドの単位）。大体473ml。「Jigger」はカクテル作る時の酒の量。

Right outside of Waikiki is a gastropub called Pint and Jigger. A gastropub is a bar that serves food as well. The name comes from measurements of liquid. A pint is the size most draft beer is drunk. A pint is about 473ml. A jigger is a size in which bartenders use for hard liquor when making cocktails.

飲み物のメニュー見る時、驚かないように。生ビールは21種類で瓶ビールもイッパイあります。
ただ、普通のビール（バドワイザーとか）頼まないように。スタッフから変なように見られる。
せっかくだから、珍しいの飲んだらいい。

If you look at the drink menu, do not be overwhelmed. There are 21 beers on tap and a variety of bottled beers. I do suggest though, that you do not order regular beers like Budweiser. You will get a strange look from the staff. And besides, you can buy that at the store. You should try something different and new.

サー、食べ物。アメリカの飲み屋の一番人気、フライドポテトもちろんある。けど、ポテトだけでは寂しいなので、チーズとガーリックソースつきのPint & Jigger Burger （ハンバーガー）を注文したらポテトも付いてる。

Now for the food. Yes they have the american favorite, fries. But you should get the fries with something else, like the P&J Burger, topped with cheese and a garlic aioli.

それか、私の大好きBeer Battered Ono and Fries。Onoの魚（かますさわら）の天ぷら（ッテ言えるかな？）かじる時そとがカリカリで魚が柔らかくて超おいしい。レストランで作ってるタルタルソースつけたらもっとおいしい。

Or my favorite, the beer battered ono and fries. Deep fried ono (kamasusawara) so that the batter is lightly crispy and the fish is tender and moist on the inside. And with a tartar dipping sauce.

たぶん今まで一番美味しい料理はWhiskey Flambeed Mushrooms。簡単ですごいおいしい。キノコ好きだったら、キノコのソティ好きなはず。キノコをちょうど終わる時ウィスキーを少しかけて、フライパンに火をつけてウィスキーに入ってる酒を全部燃やす。フランスパンの上にかけて食べたら、幸せになる。

The best dish I ever ate there is so simple yet so delicious. The Flambeed mushrroms. Simply sauteed mushrooms with whiskey added and lit on fire to evaporate the alcohol. The mushrooms are not burned. Served on sliced french bread, so good.

お腹すいた。また行きたい。
