Have you seen this musical instrument ?
In México we call it "Organillo". There are only few of them left.
If you go to down town Mexico probably you can see some of them. People play it by turning over a handle and ask for some coins.
This musical instrument came originally from Europe but now there are few of them in Germany, France, Zwitzerland, Argentina, Chile and Mexico.
The Barrel Organ plays music that is engraving on cylinders made out of papel or metal. It works and sound similar to a "big music box", haha.
Now it's hard to find but some years ago you could see the player together with a little dressed monkey. Yes, a dressed monkey !! ... to catch the attention of the people passing by.
In the present still a way of living of few Mexican people but unfortunatelly probably will end in some more years.
So if you see a "organillero" or "barrel organ player" on the street, maybe it's a good idea to give him a coin to extend this tradition a little longer, don't you think?
