
The avocado is a tree that is native to Mexico. Most of the people think that is a vegetable but NO, actually it's a "fruit".
Now this fruit is known all over the world and exported to Japan and other countries but it's origins are from Mexico.

There are several kinds of avocado but the most popular now is this one:
The native, undomesticated variety is known as "criollo" and is small, with dark black skin, and contains a large seed.
Avocado has a higher fat content than most other fruits but mostly monounsaturated fat that is good to eliminate "bad fat" from our bodies, so it is recomended to eat half avocado everyday.
One of the most popular ways to eat avocado is in "guacamole" with tortilla chips.
But I am sure you have enjoyed it in other ways, maybe in a hamburger?
Or in a "torta" (mexican sandwich) ?
Or sushi ?
